18 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Central High School Tigers Boys’ basketball
19 team secured the Class 6A State Championship by defeating the Bryant High
20 School Hornets on March 8, 2023, at Bank OZK Arena in Hot Springs; and
21
22 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Central High School Tigers scored seven (7)
23 unanswered points to build a five (5) point lead with one minute forty-one
24 seconds (01:41) on the clock remaining, winning the game with a final score
25 of 63-55; and

27 WHEREAS, Daniel Culberson scored a team high of sixteen (16) points for
28 the Little Rock Central High School Tigers who had the following four (4)
29 players finish in double figures:
30 (1) Annor Boateng;
31 (2) Luke More; and
32 (3) Chris Washington; and

34 WHEREAS, the win was a significant milestone for the Tigers, being
35 their first undisputed State Championship win since 1999; and

1 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Central High School Tigers were led by Head
2 Coach Brian Ross; and

4 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Central High School Tigers', hard work,
5 dedication, and skill have truly paid off,

7 NOW THEREFORE,
8 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
9 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

11 THAT the House of Representatives recognize the 2023-2024 Little Rock
12 Central High School Tigers as the Class 6A boys' basketball State Champions.

14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon adoption of this resolution, a copy shall be
15 provided to Head Coach Brian Ross by the Chief Clerk of the House of
16 Representatives.
