18 WHEREAS, the 2023-2024 Mount Vernon-Enola High School Lady Warhawks
19 basketball team defeated the Mansfield High School Lady Tigers 50-44 on March
20 9, 2024, in Hot Springs, becoming the 2023-2024 2A Girls Basketball State
21 Champions; and
22
23 WHEREAS, the 2023-2024 Mount Vernon-Enola High School Lady Warhawks
24 basketball team finished the season with a perfect 43-0 record; and
25
26 WHEREAS, guard Marlee Raby was named the 2A state tournament Most
27 Valuable Player with twelve (12) points, five (5) rebounds, five (5) assists,
28 and three (3) steals against the Lady Tigers; and
29
30 WHEREAS, the 2023-2024 Mount Vernon-Enola High School Lady Warhawks
31 basketball team was led by Head Coach Adam Carlton; and
32
33 WHEREAS, claiming victory over the Lady Tigers marks the Mount Vernon-
34 Enola High School Lady Warhawks basketball team second consecutive state
35 championship win,

1 NOW THEREFORE,
2 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
3 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

5 THAT the House of Representatives recognize the Mount Vernon High
6 School Lady Warhawks as the 2023-2024 2A Girls Basketball State Champions.

8 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon adoption, a copy of this resolution shall be
9 provided to Head Coach Adam Carlton by the Chief Clerk of the House of
10 Representatives.
