16 GIRLS BASKETBALL STATE CHAMPIONS.

19 WHEREAS, the 2023-2024 Mount Vernon-Enola High School Lady Warhawks
20 basketball team defeated the Mansfield High School Lady Tigers 50-44 on March
21 9, 2024, in Hot Springs, becoming the 2023-2024 2A Girls Basketball State
22 Champions; and
23
24 WHEREAS, the 2023-2024 Mount Vernon-Enola High School Lady Warhawks
25 basketball team finished the season with a perfect 43-0 record; and
26
27 WHEREAS, guard Marlee Raby was named the 2A state tournament Most
28 Valuable Player with twelve (12) points, five (5) rebounds, five (5) assists,
29 and three (3) steals against the Lady Tigers; and
30
31 WHEREAS, the 2023-2024 Mount Vernon-Enola High School Lady Warhawks
32 basketball team was led by Head Coach Adam Carlton; and
33
34 WHEREAS, claiming victory over the Lady Tigers marks the Mount Vernon-
35 Enola High School Lady Warhawks basketball team second consecutive state
36 championship win,

2 NOW THEREFORE,
3 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
4 STATE OF ARKANSAS:

6 THAT the Senate recognize the Mount Vernon High School Lady Warhawks as
7 the 2023-2024 Class 2A Girls Basketball State Champions.
8
9 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon adoption, a copy of this resolution shall be
10 provided to Head Coach Adam Carlton by the Secretary of the Senate.
