The resolution recognizes the Gravette High School Lions boys' wrestling team for their outstanding achievement in winning the 2024 4A State Championship, held in Little Rock on February 23-24, 2024. The team set a tournament record by scoring 184 points and had thirteen members named to the All-State team, with individual accolades including State Champions Logan Miller and Porter Bird, as well as several runners-up and medalists. The team finished the season with a record of 17-6 overall and 13-1 in the 4A division, also securing second place at Dual State and first in the 4A North Regionals.
The resolution highlights the support and guidance provided by the coaching staff, including AJ Herrlein, Chris Weller, Greg Miller, BJ Herrlein, and Bry Moltz, which contributed to the team's success. Upon adoption of the resolution, a copy will be presented to Coach AJ Herrlein by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives, formally acknowledging the team's accomplishments.
