12                   CONSIDERING LEGISLATION TO REPEAL THE ARKANSAS DATA
13                   CENTERS ACT OF 2023.

17                           TO EXTEND THE FIRST EXTRAORDINARY SESSION
18                           OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO
19                           CONSIDER LEGISLATION TO REPEAL THE
20                           ARKANSAS DATA CENTERS ACT OF 2023.

25           WHEREAS, Arkansas Constitution, Article 6, § 19, provides that, after
26   the General Assembly has disposed of the business set forth in the Governor’s
27   proclamation to convene an extraordinary session, the General Assembly may,
28   by a vote of two-thirds (2/3) of all members elected to both houses, remain
29   in session for a period not to exceed fifteen (15) days for the purpose of
30   transacting other legislative business; and

32           WHEREAS, the General Assembly has disposed of the matters set forth in
33   the Governor’s proclamation calling the First Extraordinary Session of the
34   Ninety-Fourth General Assembly,

 1   NOW THEREFORE,
 2   BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
 3   STATE OF ARKANSAS:
 4
 5        THAT the First Extraordinary Session of the Ninety-Fourth General
 6   Assembly has completed action deemed to be necessary with respect to the
 7   business set forth in the Governor’s proclamation to convene the First
 8   Extraordinary Session.

10        BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the First Extraordinary Session of the
11   Ninety-Fourth General Assembly is extended as provided in Arkansas
12   Constitution, Article 6, § 19, and shall remain in session for a period not
13   exceeding fifteen (15) days for the purpose of considering legislation to
14   repeal the Arkansas Data Centers Act of 2023.
