8 TO RECOGNIZE DELTA COMPANIES INC. AND ITS ONE HUNDRED
9 YEARS OF SERVICE.

14 ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF SERVICE

17 WHEREAS, in April of 1923, Edward Regenhardt, and his sons, William and
18 Ted, incorporated as the Regenhardt Construction Company to construct roads
19 and other concrete construction projects in Missouri, Illinois, and Kentucky;
20 and
21
22 WHEREAS, in the 1960’s, Delta Companies Inc. converted from a
23 predominately concrete construction company into the vertically integrated
24 company it is today, and has become a highway and site development contractor
25 specializing in asphalt paving and road construction materials, including
26 aggregates, asphalt paving materials, and asphalt emulsions; and
27
28 WHEREAS, the company expanded into Arkansas in 1972 with asphalt plants
29 and road construction operations; and
30
31 WHEREAS, a member of the Regenhardt family has been involved in the
32 management of Delta Companies Inc. until 2000, when Joe Regenhardt, grandson
33 of Edward Regenhardt, retired from the company; and
34
35 WHEREAS, Delta Companies Inc. demonstrates a strong commitment to its
36 employees and the communities it serves by providing training, education,

1 tours, and classroom presentations, and by being a proud member of various
2 industry associations, including the Associated General Contractors of
3 Arkansas and the Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association; and
4
5 WHEREAS, Delta Companies Inc. possesses the experience, expertise, and
6 longevity to carry forward throughout the twenty-first century, and by
7 combining strong project management with a skilled and talented workforce,
8 the latest technology, and state-of-the-art construction methods, has
9 established a reputation for safely completing projects to specification
10 while meeting time and budget constraints; and
11
12 WHEREAS, leaders throughout Delta Companies Inc. consistently
13 demonstrate their intentions with actions to positively influence the
14 attitudes, beliefs, and ideas of their employees and co-workers with the goal
15 of eliminating at-risk behaviors; and the slogan of Delta Companies Inc. is
16 “Safety/Our Way of Life”, and it is truly becoming so,
17
18 NOW THEREFORE,
19 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
20 STATE OF ARKANSAS:

22 THAT the Senate extend its most sincere congratulations to the
23 dedicated men and women of Delta Companies Inc. on the illustrious occasion
24 of its one-hundredth anniversary.
25
26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, upon adoption, a copy of this resolution shall
27 be provided to Mr. Zach Green, President of Delta Companies Inc., by the
28 Secretary of the Senate.
