IS NOT REQUIRED TO CARRY A CONCEALED HANDGUN IN THIS STATE; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.

Change from Current Law 2 Creates a new section in Title 5 of the Arkansas Code Annotated, § 5 -73-328,
Purpose and construction of subchapter, which clarifies that Chapter 73, Subchapter 3, Concealed Handguns,
does not require a person to obtain a permit to carry a concealed handgu n in order to carry a concealed handgun
in Arkansas.
Impact Information The proposed bill does not create a new criminal offense, add courses of conduct to
existing criminal penalties, or increase criminal penalties. For this reason, the proposed bill is not projected to
result in an increased need for correctional resources.
