8 TO RECOGNIZE THE MAGNOLIA HIGH SCHOOL BOYS AND GIRLS
9 SWIM AND DIVE TEAMS FOR THEIR MANY SUCCESSES
10 THROUGHOUT THE YEARS AND TO RECOGNIZE THE MAGNOLIA
11 COMMUNITY FOR ITS SUPPORT OF THE MAGNOLIA HIGH SCHOOL
12 SWIM AND DIVE TEAMS.

23 WHEREAS, the Magnolia High School Boys Swim and Dive Team and the
24 Magnolia High School Girls Swim and Dive Team have a storied history of
25 success since 2003; and
26
27 WHEREAS, in 2003, Magnolia High School began the high school swim and
28 dive program and during its inaugural season, the Magnolia High School Boys
29 Swim and Dive Team won the conference championship; and
30
31 WHEREAS, in 2011, the Magnolia High School Boys Swim and Dive Team
32 placed second at the South District competition and the Magnolia High School
33 Girls Swim and Dive Team placed third at the South District competition; and
34
35 WHEREAS, in 2014, the Magnolia High School Boys Swim and Dive Team won
36 its first state championship and repeated as champions in 2015; and

2 WHEREAS, in 2016, the Magnolia High School Boys Swim and Dive Team won
3 first place at the South District meet and won their third state championship
4 and the Magnolia High School Girls Swim and Dive Team placed second at the
5 South District meet; and

7 WHEREAS, in 2017, the Magnolia High School Boys Swim and Dive Team and
8 the Magnolia High School Girls Swim and Dive Team placed first in the South
9 District meet; and
10
11 WHEREAS, in 2018, the Magnolia High School Boys Swim and Dive Team and
12 the Magnolia High School Girls Swim and Dive Team placed first in the South
13 District meet; and
14
15 WHEREAS, in 2019, the Magnolia High School Boys Swim and Dive Team won
16 first place at the South District meet and won their fourth state
17 championship and the Magnolia High School Girls Swim and Dive Team placed
18 first at the South District meet and placed second in the state championship;
19 and
20
21 WHEREAS, in 2020, the Magnolia High School Boys Swim and Dive Team won
22 first place at the South District meet and placed second in the state
23 championship and the Magnolia High School Girls Swim and Dive Team won its
24 first state championship; and

26 WHEREAS, in 2021, the Magnolia High School Boys Swim and Dive Team won
27 first place at the South District meet and won its fifth state championship
28 and the Magnolia High School Girls Swim and Dive Team placed first in the
29 South District meet and won its second state championship; and
30
31 WHEREAS, in 2022, the Magnolia High School Boys Swim and Dive Team won
32 first place at the South District meet and won its sixth state championship
33 and the Magnolia High School Girls Swim and Dive Team placed first in the
34 South District meet and won its third state championship; and
35
36 WHEREAS, in 2023, the Magnolia High School Boys Swim and Dive Team won

1 first place at the South District meet and won its seventh state championship
2 and the Magnolia High School Girls Swim and Dive Team placed first in the
3 South District meet and won its fourth consecutive state championship; and
4
5 WHEREAS, the Magnolia community has supported the Magnolia High School
6 Boys Swim and Dive Team and the Magnolia High School Girls Swim and Dive Team
7 in their endeavors and in doing so have contributed to the many successes of
8 both teams,

10 NOW THEREFORE,
11 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
12 STATE OF ARKANSAS:

14 THAT the Senate commend the Magnolia High School Boys Swim and Dive Team
15 and the Magnolia High School Girls Swim and Dive Team for their continued
16 successes.
17
18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption of this resolution, a copy shall be
19 transmitted to Head Coach Kathleen Dingman by the Secretary of the Senate.
