20 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

22 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 9-27-306(a), concerning the jurisdiction of
23 juvenile court, is amended to add an additional subdivision read as follows:
24 (5) The circuit court shall have concurrent jurisdiction with
25 the district court over a traffic offense as authorized under § 9-27-372.

27 SECTION 2. Arkansas Code Title 9, Chapter 27, Subchapter 3, is amended
28 to add an additional section to read as follows:
29 9-27-372. Transfer of related traffic offenses to circuit court.
30 A circuit court judge presiding over a juvenile delinquency proceeding
31 may request the transfer of a traffic offense from district court to circuit
32 court to be adjudicated as part of the juvenile delinquency proceeding if the
33 traffic offense occurred in relation to the delinquent act allegedly
34 committed by the juvenile under the delinquency petition.
