8 TO RECOGNIZE THE LAKE HAMILTON WOLVES WRESTLING TEAM
9 FOR WINNING INDIVIDUAL WEIGHT DIVISIONS IN THE 2023
10 CLASS 5A STATE WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP.

15 WRESTLING TEAM FOR WINNING INDIVIDUAL
16 WEIGHT DIVISIONS IN THE 2023 CLASS 5A
17 STATE WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP.

19 WHEREAS, on February 24 and 25, 2023, the Lake Hamilton Wolves
20 Wrestling Team competed at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Jack
21 Stephens Center and won several individual weight class divisions at the 2023
22 Class 5A Wrestling Championship; and
23
24 WHEREAS, senior Justin Crutchmer won the 5A wrestling championship in
25 the 190-pound weight class; and
26
27 WHEREAS, this championship by Justin is his fourth individual state
28 wrestling championship, Justin is the only wrestler in Arkansas that has won
29 four (4) state wrestling championships in four (4) different weight classes,
30 and Justin was also voted the outstanding wrestler for the class 5A 175 to
31 285-weight classes; and

33 WHEREAS, senior Izic Clenney won the 5A wrestling championship in the
34 165-pound weight class and received All-State honors; and

36 WHEREAS, freshman Adeline Jackson won the 5A wrestling championship in

1 the 110-pound weight class and received All-State honors; and

3 WHEREAS, freshman Raylee Hunter won the 5A wrestling championship in
4 the 120-pound weight class and received All-State Honors; and
5
6 WHEREAS, the head coach for the Lake Hamilton Wolves Wrestling Team is
7 John Utley and the assistant coaches are John Gardner and Austin Weldon; and
8
9 WHEREAS, Coach Utley stated “Winning the 5A South Regional Tournament
10 and qualifying thirteen boys and three girls to the state tournament made for
11 a great year. Having four individual state champions made a great year even
12 better. These young men and women have worked extremely hard to make our
13 program successful and respected around the state.”,

15 NOW THEREFORE,
16 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
17 STATE OF ARKANSAS:

19 THAT the Senate commend the Lake Hamilton Wolves Wrestling team for
20 winning individual weight divisions in the 2023 Class 5A Wrestling Championship.

22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption of this resolution, a copy shall be
23 transmitted to Head Coach John Utley by the Secretary of the Senate.
