The resolution recognizes the Lake Hamilton Wolves Wrestling Team for their outstanding performance at the 2023 Class 5A State Wrestling Championship held on February 24 and 25, 2023, at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The team achieved significant success, with senior Justin Crutchmer winning the championship in the 190-pound weight class, marking his fourth individual state title across different weight classes. Additionally, senior Izic Clenney and freshmen Adeline Jackson and Raylee Hunter also secured championships in their respective weight classes, with Clenney and Jackson receiving All-State honors.

The resolution commends the hard work and dedication of the athletes and coaching staff, led by Head Coach John Utley and assistant coaches John Gardner and Austin Weldon. Coach Utley highlighted the team's achievements, including winning the 5A South Regional Tournament and qualifying numerous wrestlers for the state tournament. The Senate expresses its appreciation for the team's accomplishments and the respect they have garnered within the state wrestling community. A copy of the resolution will be sent to Coach Utley upon its adoption.
