8 TO DESIGNATE THE "STARS OF LIFE DAY" AND TO RECOGNIZE
9 THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF CERTAIN EMERGENCY MEDICAL

14 TO DESIGNATE THE "STARS OF LIFE DAY" AND
15 TO RECOGNIZE THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF
16 CERTAIN EMERGENCY MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS.

19 WHEREAS, emergency medical services are a vital public service; and
20
21 WHEREAS, the members of emergency medical services teams are ready to
22 provide life-saving care to those in need twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven
23 (7) days a week; and
24
25 WHEREAS, the members of emergency medical services teams, whether
26 career or volunteer, often go beyond the call of duty to carry out life-
27 saving measures and to promote the causes of the ambulance industry; and
28
29 WHEREAS, the members of emergency medical services teams have served on
30 the front lines caring for critical patients during the coronavirus 2019
31 (COVID-19) pandemic; and
32
33 WHEREAS, it is appropriate to recognize the value and the
34 accomplishments of selected individuals who epitomize the spirit of emergency
35 medical services,

1 NOW THEREFORE,
2 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
3 STATE OF ARKANSAS:

5 THAT the Senate proclaims March 8, 2023, as "Stars of Life Day" and
6 recognize the individuals who are being awarded as "Arkansas EMS Stars of
7 Life”.
8
9 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT that upon adoption of this resolution, a copy
10 shall be provided to each Arkansas EMS Star of Life recipient by the
11 Secretary of the Senate.
