The SLC has been held for 76 years, fostering collaboration among the fifteen southern states, and will take place in Charleston, South Carolina, from July 8 to 12, 2023.

The conference is expected to attract over 1,500 participants, including legislators, government staff, and their families, who will engage in discussions on policy matters relevant to the southern states. The resolution expresses the Senate's support for the conference and extends an invitation to all southern legislative, executive, and judicial officials to attend. Upon adoption, a copy of the resolution will be sent to CSG South Director Lindsey Gray.
