23 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

25 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 23-99-203(d), concerning the definition of
26 "healthcare provider" under the Patient Protection Act of 1995, is amended to
27 read as follows:
28 (d) “Healthcare provider” means those individuals or entities licensed
29 by the State of Arkansas to provide healthcare services, limited to the
30 following:
31 (1) Advanced practice nurses;
32 (2) Athletic trainers;
33 (3) Audiologists;
34 (4) Certified behavioral health providers;
35 (5) Certified nurse midwives;
36 (6) Certified orthotists;

2 (7)(8) Community mental health centers or clinics;
3 (8)(9) Dentists;

20 (24)(25) Physicians and surgeons (M.D. and D.O.);

28 SECTION 2. Arkansas Code § 23-99-802(4), concerning the definition of
29 "healthcare provider" as used under the any willing provider laws, is amended
30 to read as follows:
31 (4) “Healthcare provider” or “provider” means those individuals
32 or entities licensed by the State of Arkansas to provide healthcare services,
33 limited to the following:
34 (A) Advanced practice nurses;
35 (B) Athletic trainers;
