15 2A 8-MAN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

17 WHEREAS, the 2021 Strong High School Bulldogs football team claimed the
18 Class 2A 8-man state championship trophy after the Strong Bulldogs defeated
19 the Mountain Pine High School Red Devils with a 66-60 victory in double
20 overtime at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Arkansas; and
21
22 WHEREAS, the 2021 football season was the Bulldogs' first year of 8-Man
23 football and they finished the season with a perfect 11-0 record; and
24
25 WHEREAS, the team was led by head coach Sirl Wright; and
26
27 WHEREAS, the Bulldogs were also supported by an excellent team of
28 assistant coaches and other staff members,

30 NOW THEREFORE,
31 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
32 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

34 THAT the House of Representatives congratulate the Strong High School
35 Bulldogs football team on winning the 2021 Class 2A 8-Man State Championship.

1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon its adoption, a copy of this resolution
2 shall be presented to the Strong head football coach, Sirl Wright, by the
3 Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives.
