8 TO CELEBRATE THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS AT
9 FAYETTEVILLE MEN'S ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS BASKETBALL
10 TEAM ON AN AMAZING SEASON AND QUALIFYING FOR THE
11 ELITE EIGHT.

17 BASKETBALL TEAM ON AN AMAZING SEASON AND
18 QUALIFYING FOR THE ELITE EIGHT.

21 WHEREAS, the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville men's Arkansas
22 Razorbacks basketball team qualified for the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball
23 Tournament, held this year in Indianapolis, Indiana, and for the first time
24 in twenty-six (26) years, the team made it all the way to the Elite Eight;
25 and
26
27 WHEREAS, the Razorbacks persevered through what many consider the
28 toughest season in college sports to qualify for the national tournament, and
29 the men were led by six (6) Arkansans, guard Davonte "Devo" Davis, guard
30 Moses Moody, forward Jaylin Williams, guard Khalen Robinson, forward Connor
31 Vanover, and forward Ethan Henderson, whose contributions and efforts during
32 the regular season and tournament were exceptional; and
33
34 WHEREAS, the rest of the talented lineup includes Justin Smith, JD
35 Notae, Vance Jackson, Jr., Jalen Tate, Emeka Obukwelu, Kamani Johnson,
36 Abayomi "Baybe" Iyiola, and Bryson Morehead; and

2 WHEREAS, following victories against the Colgate Raiders in the first
3 round with a score of 85-68 and the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the second
4 round with a score of 68-66, the Razorbacks faced the Oral Roberts Golden
5 Eagles in the Sweet Sixteen, besting them by two (2) points for a final score
6 of 72-70, and qualifying the team for the Elite Eight and a matchup with the
7 Baylor Bears, the No. 1 seed in the tournament, eventual national champion,
8 and a team that the Razorbacks nearly pushed out of the competition; and

10 WHEREAS, the team, excellent Coach Eric Musselman, and the staff have
11 brought well-deserved national attention to Arkansas and excited the entire
12 state with their efforts,

14 NOW THEREFORE,
15 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
16 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

18 THAT the House of Representatives congratulate Coach Eric Musselman and
19 the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville men's Razorbacks basketball team
20 for their success in the regular season and in the NCAA tournament and
21 celebrate their accomplishments.

23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be
24 provided to Coach Eric Musselman by the Chief Clerk of the House of
25 Representatives.
