22   BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

24          SECTION 1.        Arkansas Code  17-28-307 is amended to read as follows:
25          17-28-307.        Restricted lifetime master and journeyman electrician
26   license.
27          (a)(1)       Upon reaching the age of sixty-five (65), or any time
28   thereafter, any person who has been a licensed master electrician or a
29   licensed journeyman electrician licensed by the Board of Electrical Examiners
30   of the State of Arkansas for not less than twelve (12) years may apply for a
31   restricted lifetime master electrician license or a restricted lifetime
32   journeyman electrician license.
33                   (2)     This license shall be issued upon satisfactory proof of age
34   and upon payment of a fee prescribed by the board.
35          (b)    Any individual issued a restricted lifetime electrician license
36   after the effective date of this act shall complete continuing education

 1   hours as required by rule of the board for any period in which electrical
 2   work is performed for remunerative purposes, whether as an employee or an
 3   independent contractor.
 4        (b)(c)   The board shall promulgate rules necessary to carry out the
 5   provisions of this section.
