This bill would require the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries to establish the Family Farm Resilience and Revenue Stabilization Program within the Department of Agriculture and Industries to provide bridge gaps and revenue gap payments to eligible family farms during times of economic shock. This bill would establish the Family Farm Resilience Fund within the State Treasury to be used by the commissioner to administer the program. This bill would require the commissioner to provide an annual report to the Governor and Legislature detailing funds distributed under the program and any proposed legislative action. This bill would also require the department to adopt rules to administer this act.
