Under existing law, an individual who qualifies for a military, veteran, or gold star family distinctive license plate may be required to recertify his or her eligibility every five years. This bill would exempt individuals whose qualifying status is permanent from being required to recertify their eligibility every five years for a military, veteran, or gold star family distinctive license plate.
