This bill amends Section 1 of Act 2006-370 concerning probate recording fees in Wilcox County, Alabama. The amendment increases the recording fee from five dollars ($5) to ten dollars ($10) for each real and personal property instrument filed with the Judge of Probate. Additionally, it clarifies that this fee is mandatory for the recording of such instruments and is to be collected in addition to any other fees, taxes, or charges required by law.

Furthermore, the bill repeals two previous acts, specifically Act 1990-618 and Act 2001-365, which also pertained to probate recording fees. The changes outlined in this bill will take effect on June 1, 2026.
