This bill amends Section 9 of Act 2022-279 concerning mail order fees in Wilcox County. It introduces several new provisions regarding the renewal of motor vehicle licenses. Specifically, the judge of probate is authorized to mail renewal applications to individuals who have previously been issued a license, with the application potentially being in postcard form. The bill stipulates that the licensee's signature and proper payment will allow the judge to issue and mail the renewed license.

Additionally, the county commission is empowered to establish a "Mail Order Fee" not exceeding three dollars ($3) to cover mailing costs, as well as an alternative fee of up to ten dollars ($10) for those requesting priority mail delivery of their license plate or decal. The fees collected will be directed to the county's general fund. Furthermore, the judge of probate may charge up to five dollars ($5) for mailing other probate documents. This act is set to take effect on October 1, 2026.
