The resolution recognizes March 3, 2026, as Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity®, Incorporated, Day at the Alabama State Capitol in honor of the fraternity's 115th Anniversary. Founded on January 5, 1911, at Indiana University, Kappa Alpha Psi has a rich legacy of promoting leadership, scholarship, and service, exemplified by its ten distinguished founders. With over 250,000 members and more than 700 chapters worldwide, the fraternity has established a powerful network dedicated to excellence and brotherhood, while also sponsoring programs that enhance community service, social welfare, youth mentorship, and academic scholarship.

The resolution highlights the fraternity's five core objectives, which include uniting men of culture and honor, encouraging achievement, promoting the welfare of its members, supporting educational institutions, and inspiring public service. It also acknowledges the contributions of five esteemed members of Kappa Alpha Psi currently serving in the Alabama House of Representatives.
