The bill authorizes the Judge of Probate in Montgomery County to charge an additional reasonable fee for celebrating the rites of matrimony. This new fee will be in addition to the existing fee established under Section 12-19-90 of the Code of Alabama 1975. The revenue generated from this additional fee will be retained by the judge of probate or their designee who officiates the marriage ceremony.
