The resolution recognizes the Baldwin County Fair on its 75th anniversary, celebrating its rich history and evolution since its establishment in 1948. Originally formed by local farmers to create a venue for agricultural activities and community gatherings, the fair has grown into one of Alabama's oldest and most significant celebrations. Initially held on Palmer Street in Robertsdale, the fair moved to its current location at the Baldwin County Coliseum and Fairgrounds in 2008. It continues to showcase local agriculture through over 1,000 competitive exhibits and offers various attractions, including rodeos, petting zoos, and midway rides.

Managed by A.B. "Sonny" Hankins and the Baldwin County Cattle & Fair Association, the fair has maintained its status as the longest-running fair in Alabama. Sonny Hankins, who has attended all previous fairs, is set to celebrate this milestone in September. The resolution expresses confidence that the Baldwin County Fair will continue to thrive, uphold its dedication to agriculture, and serve as a cherished gathering place for the community, highlighting its enduring tradition of excellence over the years.
