Under existing law, makeup services are considered a practice of esthetics and subject to the licensing and training requirements of the Alabama Board of Cosmetology and Barbering. This bill would remove makeup services from the definition of esthetics. This bill would exempt makeup application services from regulation by the Alabama Board of Cosmetology and Barbering. This bill would also define blow-dry styling and exempt those services from regulation by the Alabama Board of Cosmetology and Barbering.
