Under existing law, a person filing a quiet title action must show proof of payment of ad valorem taxes in certain circumstances. Also under existing law, certain nonprofits do not pay ad valorem taxes. This bill would allow an exception to bring a quiet title action for tax exempt organizations that do not pay ad valorem taxes. This bill would also make nonsubstantive, technical revisions to update the existing code language to current style.
