This bill would create a workforce talent recruitment program, administered by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs, to award grants for incentivizing individuals and households to relocate to this state. This bill would designate that eligible applicants for the program are municipalities, counties, and nonprofit organizations. This bill would provide an application process for eligible applicants to apply for grant funds under the program. This bill would provide data reporting requirements for grant recipients. This bill would provide eligibility requirements for individuals and households to receive relocation incentives under the program. This bill would also create the Talent Recruitment Program Grant Fund to provide for the administration and disbursement of grant funds.
