This bill would require each local board of education and the governing body of each charter school to provide each designated school employee who has access to students during the school day with mobile emergency rapid response systems no later than October 1, 2030, and provide training to employees on the systems. This bill would require the State Superintendent of Education to develop a list of approved vendors. This bill would also authorize the use of certain funds for purchasing and using mobile emergency rapid response systems.
