Under the Solid Wastes and Recyclable Materials Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is authorized to adopt rules to provide for the disposal and reuse of solid wastes. This bill would require the department to adopt rules providing for the beneficial reuse of foundry sand. This bill would also make nonsubstantive, technical revisions to update the existing code language to current style.
