Under existing law, a municipal governing body, by ordinance, may adjust the boundaries of its municipal voting districts. This bill would require that any time a municipal governing body adjusts the boundaries of a municipal voting district, the municipal governing body must send a certified copy of the resolution and a copy of the map showing the new boundaries to the Permanent Legislative Committee on Reapportionment.
