The resolution honors James T. Ramage III for his significant contributions and exemplary service to the community of Brundidge, Alabama, and the commercial banking industry over a career spanning more than 50 years. It highlights his leadership roles, including his tenure as a City Commissioner and later as Mayor of Brundidge, as well as his involvement with the Alabama Bankers Association and the Brundidge Rotary Club. A lifelong resident of Pike County and a graduate of The University of Alabama, Ramage has also served in the Alabama National Guard.

In recognition of his dedicated public service, the resolution requests that the Department of Transportation designate a one-mile segment of U.S. Highway 231 in Pike County as the James T. Ramage III Highway. This designation serves to honor his legacy and the impact he has made on his community and the state of Alabama.
