She holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. in Evaluation, Measurement, and Research Design, and has authored significant works, including "Raise a Leader, God's Way." Her leadership initiatives, such as the Oakwood University Leadership Academy and HealthyCampus2020, have significantly advanced health and wellness within the university and the surrounding community.

In recognition of her impactful service, Dr. Pollard received the President's Lifetime Achievement Award from former President Biden in 2022.
