The resolution celebrates the establishment of the Pink Hard Hat Girls and Women in CTE, Construction, and Manufacturing Programs in Jackson County, aimed at empowering high school girls and women to pursue careers in the construction industry. It highlights the significance of Women in Construction Week, observed from March 2-8, as a time to honor women who have navigated challenges in this field and to promote diversity and inclusion. The initiative seeks to educate and expose females to various career opportunities in construction and manufacturing, while also providing networking and employment resources to create a pipeline of skilled female workers.

Participation in these programs is open to high school students in grades 10-12, as well as women already working in related fields and their advisers. The program includes six meetings throughout the school year, where students will visit local industries and hear from female professionals in CTE, Construction, and Manufacturing. The resolution encourages young girls and women to pursue careers in these traditionally male-dominated fields, aiming to inspire future generations and foster a more inclusive workforce.
