Under existing law, deductions may be made from the salary of state employees for membership dues, voluntary contributions, and insurance premiums. This bill would expand the list of deductions that may be made from the salary of state employees to include certain financial instruments offered through membership associations. This bill would also delete duplicative language and would also make nonsubstantive, technical revisions to update the existing code language to current style.
