Existing law requires each pupil who is otherwise entitled to admittance to kindergarten or first grade, or any other entrance into an Alabama public or private school, to present a certificate of immunization or testing, commonly known as a Blue Card, for the prevention of those communicable diseases designated by the State Health Officer, unless exempted by religious or medical reasons. This bill would allow dependents of active duty military personnel to substitute military medical records as evidence of age-appropriate immunization and testing instead of the Blue Card for presentation to a public or private school authority.
