The course will be available online and in-person, and completion will be documented by the Department.

Additionally, the bill introduces a requirement for board members to affirm principles of public service and ethical conduct upon completing the course. These principles include making decisions based solely on public interest, avoiding conflicts of interest, considering the views of all board members, and ensuring attendance at meetings unless justified. The act is set to take effect on October 1, 2025, and does not include any deletions from current law.
