Under existing law, the Alabama Board of Cosmetology and Barbering is responsible for licensing and regulating cosmetologists, barbers, estheticians, manicurists, and other practitioners of beauty culture. This bill would provide for the licensing and regulation of esthetician/makeup artists by the board, would provide for certain exemptions, and would specify qualifications for licensing.
