Under existing law, the Department of Human Resources must provide certain information from the putative father registry to any court at its request. This bill would require the Department of Human Resources to provide certain information from the putative father registry to a licensed attorney upon his or her request, in limited circumstances relating to the adoption of a child. This bill would also delete duplicative language and would make nonsubstantive, technical revisions to update the existing code language to current style.
