The resolution honors Dr. Michael A. Wallace for his graduation from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Auburn, where he will receive his Doctor of Osteopathy degree on May 11, 2024. As a first-generation medical school graduate, Dr. Wallace has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, having previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Alabama State University and a Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences from Bluefield College. His leadership roles during his studies include serving as Vice President of the VCOM - Auburn chapter of the Student National Medical Association and being recognized as a VCOM Multicultural Inclusion and Diversity Fellow.

In addition to his academic accomplishments, Dr. Wallace has actively contributed to the medical community through various volunteer efforts and has gained practical experience in clinical settings.
