His tenure at Huffman High School saw the choral department grow to 270 students across four choirs, and he established the inaugural choral program at Clay-Chalkville High School. Under his guidance, Trussville City Schools was honored six times as one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation.
