Frances Cathleen Davis is being celebrated for her 100th birthday with a special resolution recognizing her remarkable life and contributions. Born in 1924 to Canadian immigrants in Massachusetts, Frances excelled in high school and went on to attend junior college. She had a diverse career, starting as a model known as one of the "Hart Girls," then working as an airline stewardess, and later at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). There, she met her future husband, Charles Chilion Davis, an Air Force pilot, whom she married in 1948. Throughout Charles's military career, Frances was an active member of the Air Force community, teaching dance and Sunday School, and assisting in a kindergarten class.
After settling in Montgomery, Alabama, Frances continued to demonstrate her entrepreneurial spirit by operating a beauty shop, selling cosmetics, working as a licensed beautician, and eventually becoming a licensed real estate broker with her own company. She has been a devout member of her church, serving in various roles, and is known for her generosity and service to others. Frances and Charles were married for 50 years and raised seven children. The resolution honors Frances Cathleen Davis's centennial birthday, acknowledging her life's achievements and offering best wishes for her continued well-being.
