Mrs. Lindsey Greer of Phenix City Intermediate School (PCIS) has been recognized as an Extraordinary Educator, Class of 2024, by Curriculum Associates. She is a 6th grade math teacher with 12 years of teaching experience, currently serving as the department chair for 6th grade math and cochair of the school's math team. Mrs. Greer is also involved in various leadership roles, including chairperson for Relay for Life and the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Program at her school. She holds both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Troy University and is known for her innovative use of technology in the classroom, having received the Chiquita Marbury Award for her efforts in Alabama.
In addition to her professional achievements, Mrs. Greer is dedicated to her community, spending time with her two daughters and participating in youth activities at her church. She is also committed to professional development, being NISE Stem certified, an AMSTI trainer, and planning to present at the Alabama Council for Teachers of Mathematics Conference. The Alabama House of Representatives honors Mrs. Greer for her exceptional contributions to education and her significant impact on students, celebrating her selection as an Extraordinary Educator.
