This bill amends Section 9 of Act 2022-279 concerning the judge of probate's authority to charge fees for mailing motor vehicle license renewal applications and other probate documents in Wilcox County. The new provisions allow the judge of probate to mail renewal applications to individuals who have previously been issued a motor vehicle license, with the option for the application to be sent as a postcard. The county commission is authorized to establish a "Mail Order Fee" not exceeding three dollars ($3) for this mailing process. Additionally, if a licensee requests to receive their license plate or decal via priority mail, the county commission may impose an additional fee, bringing the total possible fee to ten dollars ($10).

Furthermore, the bill introduces a new provision allowing the judge of probate to charge up to five dollars ($5) for mailing any other probate documents. The fees collected will be managed similarly to other fees and commissions, being paid into the county's general fund. The act is set to take effect on October 1, 2024.
