Graduating from Auburn University in 1970, John worked at various independent pharmacies before purchasing Valley Pharmacy in 1974, which he operated until 2012. Even after selling the business to his former understudy, he remains active as a Staff Pharmacist. Throughout his career, John has adapted to changes in pharmacy practice while maintaining a steadfast commitment to the health and well-being of his customers, many of whom he considers friends.

John Minter's integrity and expertise have earned him the respect and admiration of both his colleagues and the community. He attributes his success to the unwavering support of his late wife, Martha Minter, and takes pride in his family, which includes three children and four grandchildren. The resolution expresses deep gratitude and admiration for John's dedication to his profession and the community, wishing him continued success in his retirement.
