Mr. Guyton was born on October 20, 1954, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Charles Cecil Guyton, Sr. and Rosebud Saffold Guyton. He received his education in the Birmingham City School System, was a star basketball player in high school, a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and attended Alabama State University, where he met his wife, Vanessa D. Bennett, with whom he had a daughter, Nicole Michelle Guyton.
Mr. Guyton had a successful career in the service industry, founding TRANS-FORMATION CHICAGO, INC., and was also involved in the music and entertainment industry as an international tour manager. His passion for service led him to success in his professional endeavors. He was baptized at Sixth Avenue Baptist Church and remained a lifelong member. He is survived by his daughters, Nicole Guyton McClendon and Taliyah Knight, five grandchildren, and many relatives and friends. The Alabama House of Representatives offers this resolution in tribute to Mr. Guyton's life and extends heartfelt sympathy to his grieving family, sharing in their loss.
