Dr. Cynthia Sellers-Simon is posthumously honored for her exceptional service to Tuskegee University and her lifetime of exemplary service to humankind. A native of Elba, Alabama, she was shaped by her parents to live a life dedicated to service. Dr. Sellers-Simon's educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Studies Education from Tuskegee University, followed by a Master of Education Degree in Student Personnel Services and Counseling from the same institution. She then earned a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Higher Education Administration from Georgia State University and completed postdoctoral work at Harvard University.

Throughout her career as a higher education administrator, Dr. Sellers-Simon left a significant impact on colleagues and students at Fort Valley State University, Hampton University, Tuskegee University, and Allen University. She held several leadership roles, including Vice President of Student Affairs, and was instrumental in broadening institutional outreach and securing scholarships and funding for innovative student programs. Dr. Sellers-Simon also contributed to academia through teaching, publications, and presentations. Globally, she engaged in professional development across several countries and was active in community organizations. She is remembered for her love of travel, reading, and adventure, as well as her dedication to Tuskegee University. Dr. Sellers-Simon is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, brother, and a wider circle of relatives and friends. The resolution offers tribute to her life and legacy of service.
