She earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education and a Master of Education in Student Personnel Services and Counseling from Tuskegee University, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from Georgia State University, and completed postdoctoral work at Harvard University. Throughout her career, she held significant leadership roles at various universities, including Vice President of Student Affairs, where she positively impacted the lives of countless students and enhanced institutional outreach.
Dr. Sellers-Simon was also actively involved in professional development on a global scale, participating in seminars across several countries and contributing to her local communities through organizations such as the NAACP and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She was a proud member of the Tuskegee University Class of 1974 and remained committed to her alma mater until her passing. The resolution expresses deep appreciation for her legacy of service and dedication, recognizing her surviving family members and the upcoming celebration of her class's 50th reunion at Tuskegee University.
