Thomas Jacob Fisher from Troop 142 of Wesley Methodist Church in Decatur, Alabama, is being recognized for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouts BSA. This prestigious award is earned by only a small percentage of Scouts and signifies the completion of an Eagle Scout Project along with years of dedication. Thomas Fisher has exemplified commitment and determination in his journey to this achievement.
For his Eagle Scout Project, Thomas Fisher extended a 120-foot walkway lined with lumber at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Decatur, working with Mr. Ray Mitchell to ensure a safe path for visitors that also protects the environment. In addition to his project, Fisher has attended National Youth Leadership Training and is a member of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's National Honor Society. The resolution by the Alabama House of Representatives congratulates Fisher on his service to the community and his embodiment of the values of Scouts BSA, extending appreciation and best wishes for his future endeavors.
