The resolution honors Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, on the occasion of its 32nd Annual Delta Day, which is to be observed on March 21, 2024, at the Alabama State Capitol. Delta Sigma Theta is a prominent sorority with over 1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters across the globe, including the United States, England, Japan, Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica, and the Republic of Korea. In Alabama alone, there are 39 chapters with over 3,500 members.

The resolution acknowledges the commitment of the Alabama chapters of Delta Sigma Theta to public service, education, and advocacy on policy issues that affect their communities. Each year, members convene at the Alabama State Capitol to ensure their voices are heard, with this year's theme being "Taking a Stand by Taking Our Seats."
