The resolution honors Pastor Walter Peavy for his remarkable 55 years of service in leadership, teaching, preaching, and radio entrepreneurship. Since 1971, he has been a prominent voice on WDJL Love 1000 AM, sharing gospel music and messages with the Tennessee Valley and surrounding communities. Pastor Peavy is dedicated to serving God's people, advocating for senior citizens, feeding and sheltering the homeless, and empowering youth. He is also the founder of Love Ministries, LLC, which focuses on ministering to under-served senior citizens and providing spiritual counseling through radio broadcasts and community service.

Throughout his career, Pastor Peavy has exemplified professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to service, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the public. He is celebrated not only for his accomplishments but also for the love and companionship he shares with his wife, Pauline Peavy. In recognition of his contributions, Love Alive Ministries is hosting a musical in his honor on April 20, 2024.
