While on routine patrol, Officer Booth noticed the fire and quickly responded by waking the residents, bravely entering the home to assist the homeowner into his wheelchair, and ensuring the safety of the girls as they exited. His quick thinking and courageous actions were pivotal in preventing a potentially tragic outcome.

In recognition of his outstanding service and lifesaving efforts, the Alabama Legislature commends Officer Booth, who recently celebrated his one-year anniversary on the police force and is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
