8 COMMENDING MRS. CATHY ANDERSON STENDER FOR BECOMING
9 THE FIRST WOMAN INDUCTED INTO FORD MOTOR COMPANY'S TOP DEALER
10 HALL OF FAME.

12 WHEREAS, it is an honor to convey highest
13 commendations to Mrs. Cathy Anderson Stender, who has made
14 history by becoming the first woman inducted into Ford Motor
15 Company's Top Dealer Hall of Fame; and
16 WHEREAS, out of more than 3,500 dealers in the
17 nation, Ford Motor Company honored Mrs. Cathy Anderson
18 Stender, the owner of Woody Anderson Ford, with induction into
19 its Top Dealer Hall of Fame in March 2022, making Mrs. Stender
20 the first female member of the prestigious group of only 31
21 members; and
22 WHEREAS, she began her leadership tenure at her
23 family business, Woody Anderson Ford, in 2003, and since then,
24 the dealership has grown to become one of the largest in the
25 country; a diligent businesswoman, Mrs. Stender leans on her
26 psychology background to better understand her community's
27 needs and is always looking for ways to push the bounds and

1 innovate; furthermore, she serves on the influential Ford
2 Product Committee, the CEM Advisory Board, and the Ford
3 Dealers Advertising Fund Board as she helps the company
4 develop innovative products, like the Mach-E, and reimagine
5 classics, such as the beloved Bronco; she also made history
6 when she became the first female recipient of the Salute to
7 Dealer Award from Ford Motor Company in 2005; and
8 WHEREAS, a woman who is passionate about her career
9 and assisting others, Mrs. Stender is indeed an incredible
10 leader who continuously inspires many; now therefore,
11 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
12 THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That Mrs. Cathy Anderson Stender
13 is highly commended for making history as the first woman
14 inducted into Ford Motor Company's Top Dealer Hall of Fame,
15 and we hereby dedicate this resolution to the remarkable
16 businesswoman with heartiest admiration, along with sincere
17 best wishes for continued success in all future endeavors.
